Simultaneous/Conference Interpreting
This is a type of real-time interpreting that occurs without the involvement of the main speaker. The interpreter sits in a booth and listens to the speaker via his/her headphones, and starts interpreting into the target language the spoken contents and transmits it to the audience’s headphones with his/her microphone.
Consecutive Interpreting
Contrary to simultaneous interpreting, this is a type of interpreting where the speaker is aware of the interpreter’s presence and while speaking, he/she waits for interpreter to render the message in the language of the audience.
